She fell in love with storytelling and scriptwriting after graduating from Bournemouth University in 2017, where she specialised in Producing for TV, Film, and Podcasting. She has spent the last few years building up a rich development slate consisting of original animated Children’s TV, short films, and features.
Laura is passionate about social development, education on mental health for children, and dynamic family relationships. She sees the funny side of the world around us, and gets inspiration for her screenplays from the birds and animals living alongside us in towns and cities.
Laura’s first children’s animation pilot episode of SQUAWK WALK was recently featured on Scripts Out Loud. The script was performed by professional voice actors, under the Direction of Barry Purves, in front of a live audience of animation professionals. Feedback was provided by Helen Arnsten, Head of Development at Blue Zoo Animation.
